If you’re responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of parental engagement in your school, then you might be interested in joining the Learning Addict’s Parental Engagement Hive Mind. This is a group that meets virtually once per term to share strategies, experience and learning about communicating most effectively with parents in primary and secondary schools across the UK.
Whilst the group is primarily based in the UK, we would welcome colleagues from overseas, too, as we appreciate the benefits of sharing expertise more widely.
The group will be discussing/ sharing:
- What the research tells us about effective parental engagement;
- Whole-school strategy for communicating with parents and carers;
- Models for effective Parents’ Evenings;
- Training on effective communication with diverse groups of adults
The first meeting of the Parental Engagement Hive Mind will be taking place in mid November 2021. Full details will be shared with interested participants nearer the time.
If you have some expertise or experience in this area and could offer your support, or if you’re looking for ideas and inspiration from like-minded professionals then this is the group for you!
