Thanks for joining me!
I’ve toyed with the idea of writing a blog for some time. Initially, I’ve felt uncomfortable with my voice being out there for all to read- but after some really useful mentoring as part of a senior leadership programme, I started to value the opportunity to reason with my own thoughts about all things teaching and learning. So far, I’ve been doing this in shortened form in a writing journal, but I thought it best to drag myself into the 21st century!
Not only that, I’ve learnt so much from Blogs and Twitter accounts from colleagues in other schools and I really do think there’s so much power in sharing. It might only be a small idea for one teacher, but in another setting at another time it could be transformational. I’ve seen this first hand through my work with the Chartered College of Teaching and with #LitDrive- that we’re all learning all of the time and we are more powerful with the voices of other colleagues, from far and wide, with us and behind us all the way.
All of the views I present on this Blog are my own and are not attached the any of the organisations I associate with.
Let’s do this! Thanks for joining me.
